I’ve just realized that I never shared my ‘trash the dress’ shoot I did with one of my lovely friends. And it was nearly 3 months ago, my bad. Ever since we moved here, I’ve met some really amazing people and have friended a lot of them. And one of them happens to be an underwater photographer, so I asked her one day, if we could do a shoot with my wedding dress. Of course, she ecstatic to do it!
Apparently, I forgot to smile during this shoot, so it’s a rather serious, which is hilarious because when we did our engagement and wedding photos, trying not to smile was extremely hard for me. It was definitely an early day since we took pictures way out on the west side of `Oahu. And the goal was to be there around sunrise for the ‘golden hour’. My dress is bottom heavy, so I was nervous to get in the water with it. Thankfully, there was a little tide pool on the beach, where we took a lot of shots. It rained on us, but it made this venture much more memorable because there was a rainbow over us.
One day, I’d love to do another underwater shoot with a much lighter and flowy dress. It’s such a popular shoot on the islands, so I want to join in on the fun!
If you remember from my wedding post, I shared some details about my dress. I absolutely love my dress and a very good friend of mine made it, so that made much more special to me.
Hope you all enjoy the pictures, I had so much fun being back in my dress!
