One of the greatest things about living in central Europe and in a small country, it makes it pretty easy to travel to other countries. During the summer, we had friends visiting Italy and it’s about an hour drive to the Italian border from where we live. Since we were meeting them in Venice, we opted to take a bus there, which isn’t a horribly long commute, but we ran into some issues. From here, we had a bus transfer in Trieste, but since our first bus was late, naturally we missed our connection. And boy was it such a task for the bus company to figure out what to do and there was a language barrier that wasn’t working in our favor. You’d think it would be as easy as just getting us onto another bus, instead, they bought us a train ticket since they didn’t have any other scheduled buses that day for that route. [Read more…]
Photo Diary #1 | Berlin
OK! I’m excited to start my new series on the blog since I’ve recently been trying to get into the habit of organizing and editing my pictures from previous trips. The last couple of weeks have been dedicated to going through the tons of picture folders that I’ve just dumped into my computer and organizing them. My whole routine with pictures would be to upload them to my computer, delete them off my camera and that’s it. Never really touch them except maybe a couple I’ll share to Instagram. I have so many pictures to share from various trips that I’ll even be sharing our cross-country road trip from 2016. [Read more…]
Adventure | Ka’ena Point
Ah yes, I finally made it to Ka’ena Point. I didn’t have a Hawai’i bucket list, but I knew I wanted to come here before we left the island. After sorting out our temporary living situation, we booked an AirBnb out in Waialua for a few days. Which gave us the chance to take a little stroll out to the most western point of `Oahu. [Read more…]
Adventure | Big Island Sights
Everyone knows that I love posting on Instagram, it’s my ultimate favorite social media channel ever. If I had to pick just one for the rest of my life, it would be that. I’m actually a lot quicker to post something on Instagram and not my blog, but don’t worry, I’m trying to work on that and getting them to the blog. Today, I thought I’d share a little about some of the places that I have visited since I’ve been here. [Read more…]

Where do I even begin? Being from Hawai’i, I am no stranger to the Merrie Monarch Hula Festival, not only is it a weekend full of Hawaiian tradition and hula, but the entire week is filled with various events in Hilo on Big Island. People from all over the world fly in to experience this annual event. [Read more…]
Adventure | Treehouse Hunting
During my short visit on Oahu, I managed to sneak in a couple venture days. I can definitely say that I made the most of my stay, which was only about 5 days. I didn’t even bother telling some people that I was stopping in for a little bit since I’ll be back at the end of the month. [Read more…]
Military | Olmsted Foundation
Keeping the excitement going for the week, I thought I’d share a little bit more about The Olmsted Foundation, if you haven’t seen our Good News post, then maybe start there and come back to this one. [Read more…]
Life | Good News!
At last the moment has arrived and I’m just way too excited to even go into detail of what’s in store for us next. As many of you know, we’ve been waiting for a very long time to figure out where we’ll be moving too after A’s deployment and a couple of days ago, we’ve received said news. [Read more…]
Adventure | La Push Adventure Video
At last, my adventure partner for La Push, Washington has put together a video and posted it on Youtube, which I’ll be sharing with you all today. If you can’t tell, I’m still on the lazy train of putting actual adventure posts together. I’m hoping by the end of the week to have them ready for scheduling, but we’ll see. I’m still in traveling mode and flew to Oahu on Saturday for … my new tattoo, which I absolutely can’t wait to share that delightful experience (no sarcasm). I have quite a few posts planned for the upcoming week, but for now, enjoy the awesome adventure video.

Adventure | My Hiking NOs
OK, yeah I admit that I definitely tend to lean towards the risky side when it comes to hiking. But even I have my limits before I set out on my hiking adventures. No way do I call myself a professional hiker, I do it for pure enjoyment and I just love venturing out there. At first I was going to talk about my hiking fails, but figured sharing my hiking NOs/maybes would be more suitable. [Read more…]
