Day 2 : Annapolis, Maryland to Charleston, South Carolina to Atlanta, Georgia

January 5, 2013 · ADVENTURE · Leave a Comment

Our stop here was WAY too short, I didn’t get to see
everyone that I wanted to. I definitely feel bad about that, I apologize to
those that I was not able to see or invite out to dinner. It wasn’t
intentional, I promise.
We got in around nighttime, headed over to Wild Wings Café
for some dindin and then met up with one of the
mister’s
sailing buddies who is now going through power school and all that
jazz. It was so nice to be back in the South because the weather was nice and
warm. We left upstate at the perfect time because it was starting to get cold.
On this trip, the
mister
FINALLY realized that we needed to do more day trips, exploring
the area, stuff like that. You have no idea how long it has taken me to get him
to realize that! Then he began to spout out that he missed Charleston … he’s a tough
one, that guy.
For the last few hours, we went to Ft. Sumter, which
consisted of a half hour-ish boat ride and an hour of touring around the
fort. We got a nice history lesson and it was pretty cool to see. There were
still some artillery shells stuck in the wall.

From Charleston, we made way to Atlanta to have dinner with
his aunt and grandma. And then ended up staying at this pretty ‘not-so-great’
hotel in Marrietta, I went and reviewed it as soon as we got into our room. I
was not happy with that place and you wouldn’t be either, I promise you that!

Day 1 : Saratoga Springs, NY to Annapolis, Maryland

January 5, 2013 · ADVENTURE, LIFE · Leave a Comment

Our first stop on this 2 week roadtrip was in Annapolis, Maryland. Now I was excited for this stop for a couple of reasons.

  1. Our engagement session with the lovely Natalie Franke, which you can check out [here]
  2. I love visiting Annapolis and seeing the Naval Academy, I’ve only been here twice.
  3.  … our engagement sesh ☺

We also met up with the mister’s sailing buddies, so I know he definitely enjoyed that. I’ll be honest, it sure was something hanging out with some youngins 😉 But I had fun!

Our sesh was amazing, it was so much fun and surprisingly the hubby enjoyed it as much as I did, which definitely put me at ease.

At first, I had to convince him that this would all be worth it and it sure was, as you can see. And we’re hoping to have her, Natalie Franke, as our wedding photographer, as well! So please, lets hope we can set a date soon and get the planning going!

Now enjoy some of our pics!

New Look & Nicaragua!

January 28, 2012 · ADVENTURE · Leave a Comment

I was inspired by many other blogs that I follow to hop on the revamp train!

And I’m quite happy with the new look; new colors, new banner, and a bunch of other new stuff! You’re probably wondering about my banner and how it seems grammatically incorrect, but it’s exactly how it should be. If you’re from Hawai’i, you know exactly what I’m saying. I thought it fit perfectly for my blog, since no one really knows where I am, well my friends and family back in Washington. Of course, if you’re on facebook, then you’re well aware. So they usually just find out through the grapevine, no offense or anything, but I don’t have this need to hold a big sign telling everyone where I’m going.

{ Curious to know where I got my social media icons? Head on over to Pretty Lovely Design‘s facebook page, then click on the “Exclusive” tab, and they’re free to download! }

And that’s why I’ve decided to go public about this blog, it’ll be the best way to know what I’ve been up to and where I’m headed to! 🙂

If you don’t know already, in April, I’m off to New York! And that I’ll be driving up there (so far) by myself, so if anyone wants to be a passenger on my way there, please do come. I really don’t want to be driving there all by myself, mentally I’m just not ready for this road trip.

And next month or in less than 2 weeks, we’ll be in Nicaragua for vacation! We’ve been trying to plan our trip out these past couple of days and there’s so much to do and see. And the weather will be pretty nice, when we get there. I’m excited and nervous, I’ve only been to Europe, so it’s my first time in Central America. I’ve decided to take my moleskin with me and documen everything we do on a daily basis, it’ll be my little travel journal. Surprisingly, I’ve never done that before, wish I did!  Well that’s all the news that I got.

Until next time.
