I have quite a few blogs to be honest, I use blogger, tumblr, and wordpress. Blogger has been more of the personal posts, but I do write some on tumblr as well. Today a friend of mine on tumblr, some of her posts got out to her husband’s CO, the way it happened was quite childish, but there’s not much you can do. There was definitely a lesson learned, whatever you say on the internet will make its way back.
When you’re entering the world of blogging, privacy is very limiting, I know tumblr, blogger, and posterous offer privacy by adding readers emails or password protecting it. I may seem all paranoid about all of this, but I feel like there’s a loop hole for EVERYTHING.
I just went through my posts and questioned if it was okay to be read, if it was found in the wrong hands. Being with someone in the military, I’m extremely careful about saying too much, I try to keep things as vague as possible. Yeah, I’ll admit, I don’t want the wrong people reading my stuff. But what are they going to gain from me? I work in retail, get paid 8 bucks a hour, rant quite a bit about my job, need a new car .. the list goes on.
Blogging; it’s like a diary really, but everyone can read it. If I’m not able to write what’s truly me, then what is the point of having one and then having to censor things out?
Well that’s my random rant, all is well.
Until next time.
