At last the moment has arrived and I’m just way too excited to even go into detail of what’s in store for us next. As many of you know, we’ve been waiting for a very long time to figure out where we’ll be moving too after A’s deployment and a couple of days ago, we’ve received said news.
Yep, we’re leaving the country and completely ecstatic about it! The details are still being worked out and I’ll go more in depth about why we’ll be moving there in the first place. We’re happy to finally know where we’re going and more excited for A. Lets just say this is what he wanted since Day 1.
Sorry for being vague, but I’ve been back to my island hopping adventures, so I don’t exactly have the energy to knock out all the blog posts that I need to.
x | Have a great weekend!
Woah – cool!! My husband is actually trying to transfer out of submarines into a community that has more foreign jobs because we’d like to move abroad. Congrats on getting a place you want!
@natashahoover:disqus thank you! Look up The Olmsted Foundation and well I’ll talk all about it next week. And you’ll have to keep me posted about him transferring out. I know sub life isn’t exactly what A imagined, but he’s excited for this new venture.
Will do! My husband is actually taking a language aptitude test (the DLAB) next week to work towards his transfer. Hopefully he scores well (he was raised bilingual so I have more confidence in him than he does!) and it helps him transfer. He was doing pretty well (in terms of being okay with the sub life) during his second deployment until the point when my dad died and he wasn’t able to return at the time or a month later for the funeral.
@natashahoover:disqus yeah the DLAB is an interesting test for sure, from what A told me, I’ve never seen anything like it haha. Good luck, I’m sure he’ll do just fine. But isn’t that always the case, we always have more confidence in them than they do!
Not sure if you read Amanda’s blog over at http://www.marshallsabroad.com/ but they’re in Croatia at the moment through the Olmsted Foundation… xx
@jewelswandering:disqus girl you are the best! Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this, I’m totally new to her blog, hopefully she’ll let me pick her mind a bit. MUAH!
Hope you enjoy!! That’s a huge change. Looking forward to reading about the transition.

@harlynnadwell:disqus thank you so much and thanks for stopping by! It’s definitely a change, we’ve both visited Slovenia before, but we’re definitely looking forward to all of the traveling opportunities.
This is exciting! What an adventure you two will be going on! Definitely once in a lifetime!! I can’t wait to hear more about it!
@militarywifeandpuglife:disqus thank you, thank you! Excitement doesn’t even cover everything we feel haha
Hurrah!! Overseas!! I’ve never been, but Slovenia is super cool!! I can’t wait to read all about your next set of adventures!!! Yay!!!
@jewelswandering:disqus it still hasn’t quite hit me yet!
WOAH! what an exciting move!!
Thank you, we’re so excited!
YAY! So exciting! Cass and I loved road tripping to Slovenia. I have to admit, I’m pretty jealous. You have to post tons of pictures so we can live vicariously through you.
I’ll definitely be posting all of our adventures, all your European adventures had me envious. So I’ll probably be looking through your old posts and making a list of places to see!
So exciting! I know nothing about Slovenia, but I don’t think you can go wrong with anything overseas!
We’ve wanted to go overseas so bad, so we’re pretty darn happy about it! You should definitely check out Slovenia, it’s a quaint little town!
I hear Ljubljana is fantastic 😉 The entire country, especially the Gorenjska region, is a “wanderer’s paradise,” from the Soča River valley to the top of Mt. Triglav. Čestitam in vam želim vse najboljše v vašem novem domu, Slovenija!
You will LOVE Slovenia. It has been one of my favorite places we’ve visited. I wish we would’ve been able to explore it more. It’s a great base to visit other countries as well!
