This style of handwriting is simply beautiful to me and it’s more common to see it on wedding invites, which is part of what feeds my wedding fever. I would love to produce this beautiful writing out of my hand, I love calligraphy, it’s so elegant and timeless. And that’s why I had the boyfriend purchase some calligraphy pens for me, hopefully the saying “practice makes perfect” works out in my favor. I’ve done very little with my pens and paper, but I’ll make something of it.

It’s music like this that make just fall in love with the piano and a bunch of other ones as well, can’t forget the classics. The video about is the making of Muse’s song United States of Eurasia, the lead, Matthew Bellamy, does amazing things with the piano. Songs like United States of Eurasia & their Exogensis Symphonies are some of my favorites from The Resistance album. I’ve been around classical music for most of life, started playing the viola (originally wanted to play the cello, but my brother picked it first .. Malia, forever trying to be different) in the 5th grade and stopped right when I graduated from high school. Despite one of my teachers, I loved playing in orchestra .. I just loved playing. Okay, so we weren’t the greatest, but I’ve got to play along side some pretty awesome people (well at my school). I knew if I practiced more, I could have made something of it, when I head back home, I’m seriously thinking about bring my viola with me. I want to pick it up again. Along with that, learning how to play the piano has always been on my list of things to do. My favorite orchestra teacher convinced me that I don’t have to take lessons to play the piano, he gave me this sheet of paper and said this is all you need to know. I’ll go ahead and listen to the wise; I just want to learn my favorite piano pieces, there’s a long list of them, and you can be that I’ll learn em all. (Yes, the songs by Muse are on the list!)
