WANDERING MALIA

Why Don’t I Post That Often?

August 25, 2011 · LIFE · Leave a Comment

cause I don’t really do much, so I don’t have much to share …

Lets see, today I wrote a lot of emails for the wedding inspiration site I help run, it’s weird, I love writing emails. To me emails are just as great as snail mail … well only the ones that pertain to the site! It seriously makes my day, when people email us back right away. And with me constantly connected to the email through my mac and phone, it’s like happy dance all day long.

Other than doing stuff for the site, there’s been a great amount of cleaning going on & a lot of daydreaming. The boyfriend is gone from early morning (five or six in the morning) to six – seven thirty-ish in the evening. And it’s all confidential, the most he can share about his day is if it was a good or bad one, how well he did on a test, and that’s pretty much it. One day he came home and said his day wasn’t very good, and it sucked because he couldn’t tell me about it. And normally, one of the best ways to ease out your issue is that you talk about … yep definitely could not, but that’s just how it is. All you sub SOs, just a heads up, the most time you’ll spend with your man during the week is at night, unless you wake up early in the morning to make him breakfast or something. And some possible vegging as soon as he gets home is a guarantee, it’ll be draining for him once he starts school. Just be supportive as ever and try not to whine about things … hehe (I’m getting better about it … la la la).

The weekends is definitely the best time you should try and utilize all the time you get with him, pretty much every weekend, we go downtown. He heads to his services near the evening time and I’ll wander around downtown for a hour until he’s done. I LOVE wandering & walking and downtown is definitely the place to do it. Last week was the first time I did it, I  had my headphones in the entire time because I’m kind of big on drowning the sounds of my environment, very anti-social I know, but I can still hear everything, so no worries. It’s a big college town, so people are definitely drinking, possibly drunk by then. Thankfully, some stores don’t close til 9, which is more than enough time for me to wander wherever.

The nightlife is definitely my favorite in Downtown Charleston, there’s so many different bars/clubs that’ll fit anyone’s scene. And there’s live bands in almost every bar, it’s awesome! Some of them are actually pretty decent … not too shabby! I already have some of my favorites, yet again I haven’t been to very many.

So definitely make the most of your weekends together, I try to get out of the house every chance I get, even if it’s a little grocery/errand run with the roomies. And they’re nice enough to even ask me to tag along, I appreciate that a lot! My roomies are great and always entertaining. Like today for example, we had our first outing tooooooooooooooooo … wait for it … the tennis court! Awesome, right?! Well I thought so because I got out of the house 😉 . It was fun to watch the boyfriend and roomies play tennis, quite entertaining really.  Since there’s no furniture in our house, except for our rooms, we eat around the island in the kitchen and … we stand. I guess it’s good for the digestive system and all, but I’m not all that great with standing for too long.

Okay, well that’s enough babbling for the night.
